GIS Scenarios

These scenarios are created as practice for students who are just entering the field of GIS, but also for anyone who is interested in learning more about the capabilities of GIS and wants to practice GIS.

The scenarios are loosely based on projects I’ve personally worked on. It is my intention to provide real-world use-case examples of GIS, not just lab exercises meant to introduce you to specific geoprocessing concepts.

It’s all designed to be done with free and open source software. You shouldn’t need an ESRI license to learn GIS and to do GIS. Thinking spatially is much bigger than specific software.
