The purpose of GISAnalyst.net is to provide resources for GIS professionals and GIS students alike. I write tutorials, tips and tricks, and other posts that GIS Analysts may find useful, especially focusing on Open Source Software.

Try my scenarios if you’re new to GIS and want to sharpen your spatial analytic skills. Each scenario is generally based off a real-world assignment that a GIS Analyst might reasonably be tasked with.

This site is run by Chandler Sterling, a Los Angeles-based GIS Analyst who has been working with geospatial technology for over a decade. With a strong passion for both tech and travel, I have always been drawn to exploring new and exciting frontiers. My love for technology has driven me to constantly seek out and learn about the latest advancements and innovations in this ever-evolving field.

In my free time, I love to travel and immerse myself in different cultures. I find it incredibly fascinating to learn about the nuances of different societies and how they use technology to solve unique challenges. Whether it's discovering the latest trends in tech hubs like Silicon Valley or observing how technology is being used in rural communities, I am constantly seeking out new insights and perspectives.
